QUT provides a range of opportunities for its staff to maintain and improve their professional knowledge through the professional development program scheme.

Academic staff

The Professional Development Leave (PDL) program is available for academic staff to take leave for developmental purposes, providing support to undertake a coherent program of activities directed towards enhancing knowledge, skills and professional experience and performance. The program supports staff who have demonstrated a record of achievement in their discipline, as well as providing for the development of staff in the early stages of their academic career.

Professional staff

Professional Development Program (PDP) is an opportunity for professional staff to maintain and improve their professional knowledge and enhance their skills with respect to their employment at QUT.
