QUT's staff and postgraduate students provide quality consulting and contract research to external bodies such as industry, governmental or non-governmental agencies. Industrial research conducted by QUT staff takes place under a range of contract agreements which are negotiated in accordance with the university's policies on research, intellectual property and conflict of interest. These projects are administered through the Office of Commercial Services.
Contract research collaborations which involve technology transfer or intellectual property transactions are managed by qutbluebox, the commercialisation company for QUT.
