Research tuition fees

Domestic students

Tuition fees for domestic students are covered by the Australian government through the Research Training Scheme.

• PhD students are covered for four years full-time study or equivalent.
• Professional Doctorate students are covered for four years full-time study or equivalent.
• Masters students are covered for two years full-time study or equivalent.

If you take longer to complete your studies, you will be charged tuition fees.

International students

Outstanding international students may receive a tuition fee waiver scholarship. If you are not awarded a tuition waiver, you will be liable for full fees. QUT International can provide advice on calculating the cost of study.
