Research students
Many PhD students are focussed on continuing as a researcher in the higher education sector. QUT also helps research students explore post-graduation careers in industry, such as conducting applied research in the field or using specialised knowledge in a corporate environment.
QUT offers research orientation events that:
- provide you with an overview of the support available
- prepare for your research degree
- organise your research using QUT resources.
In addition to orientation, students are encouraged at key points in candidature to review their skills set through self assessment quizzes to assist in the development of a graduate capabilities development plan to ensure they access the wealth of research training resources available at QUT.
All training modules and services are offered free to QUT research students.
