Research facilities
Researchers at QUT have access to state-of-the-art facilities, often co-funded or made available through QUT's partnerships with industry, government and the community.
On-campus facilities include the Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation and specialist science and engineering laboratories. QUT staff and students may also access specialist equipment and infrastructure at other locations.
- The architecture of the Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation allows enhanced communication, collaboration and innovation.
- QUT's Science and Technology Precinct will deliver outcomes in the areas of climate change, infrastructure, and food, water and energy security
- Based at the Prince Charles Hospital, QUT's Medical Engineering Research Facility is designed to meet Australia's emerging needs in orthopaedic and artificial organs research.
- The Samford Ecological Research Facility is used for research in natural science, engineering, and built environment, particularly urban development and its impact on the ecosystem
- The QUT Microsoft eResearch Centre provides information and communication technologies (ICT) solutions to QUT researchers in areas such as mobile collaboration, sensor networks and bioinformatics.
Your potential supervisor, or staff in your Faculty's research office can discuss the facilities and equipment that are most appropriate to your field of research.
